BUYING A HUD HOME
• Anyone can buy a HUD home, search HUD Homes at www.hudhomestore.com
• Owner Occupant Bidders.
• HUD homes are sold at market value
• HUD homes are sold "As Is"
• Deadlines must be met
MAKING AN OFFER ON A HUD HOME
• Offers must be made through a HUD registered broker
• How to find a HUD home
• Offers must be submitted through an electronic bidding process
• Initial Listing Period – Owner Occupants only for the first 10 calendar days.
• Owner Occupant Priority Period.
• General Public Bid Period.
• Contract must be submitted within 48 hours
CLOSING ON A HUD HOME
• Closings are 45 days for Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
• HUD will pay some closing and sales commission costs
• Return of Earnest Money
